Finally, the end of exams for the year. Not sure on how I went, but for the moment, I think I'll just sit back and soak in the next 3 months of summer break ... That's if I'm not working too much !

SK-II Haul

This was the Gift with Purchase offer that was available at Myer when I went on my recent SK-II haul. The gift was too good to pass. With purchases over $250 you received a vanity case and 3 deluxe samples and if you spent over $500 you received an additional trolley bag (the four wheels type - pretty cool!).

Facial Treatment Cleanser ($80AUD)

I haven't tried this product yet, since I still have some of my Laneige cleanser left. But thought I'd purchase it to take advantage of the offer. Will update my thoughts on it ..

Facial Treatment Essence Limited Anniversary Edition 250ml ($245AUD)

A back-up purchase, since I am almost half way through my large bottle. This was the very first product I purchased from SK-II apart from the facial masks. The mask was what convinced me to invest into their skincare range since it is really expensive and I didn't want to spend so much on something that may not work. But a fter a few weeks of using this product, I have noticed my blemishes clearing up and an overall improvement in the clarity of my skin. I've been using it for almost two months now and within the first two weeks I received compliments on my skin improvements. So overall, thumbs up and I definitely think it was worth the price I paid. Highly recommended ! It's my number one skincare product. 

Facial Clear Solution ($140AUD)

I bought this one about a month ago as a day moisturiser and use it after the Facial Treatment Essense. I love the gel formula as it quickly absorbs into my skin without being sticky or greasy at all. I have noticed that my skin is less oily throughout the day and my dry U-zone is also kept moisturised. It kind of smells like cucumber as well which is pleasant.

Skin Refining Treatment ($210AUD)

This is by far my favourite night cream. I received samples of it when I purchased the Facial Clear Solution and loved it. I use it after the Facial Treatment Essence before bed at night. It did everything it said it would. It has really helped with my large pores, especially in my nose and cheek area. My skin appears smoother and more brightened every morning when I wake up. Again its not oily or greasy, but incredibly moisturising. It doesn't come cheap for a 50g jar but because it's a night cream it should go a long way. Again, definitely worth the price. My skin has never felt so soft.

And this is exactly why I am always so BROKE ! My expensive love and need for luxury brand cosmetics.

I am at that point during exam preparation where I procrastinate and rather do things like painting my toe nails and blogging etc .. Its kind of bad since its the day before my exam and I really should be studying. I'll promise this will be a quick post and I'll get back to studying.

Floriade 18 September 2010

It was my weekend off, my boyfriend wanted to surprise me and take me on a date to an unknown location. Thinking we were going to head off to somewhere in the 'city' the whole time, we ended up in Canberra. I was definitely surprised! 
We visited the Floriade flower show and Cockington Green Gardens. The sun was out and the weather was great. I couldn't have asked for anything more. I would've been happy just to spend the day with him doing nothing. I feel so fortunate, even though it hasn't been that long ... I miss him.



I wish that I could've seen this feature during the night .. the umbrellas light up for Nightfest at Floriade

I always wanted a doll house as a girl but my parents bought me a train set .. Were they confused?

Finally... I have survived through the long wait for the arrival of two items on my wishlist. It was a very long 2-4 weeks wait for both. Sitting by my phone, anticipating every call, just to get that call that tells me "... it has arrived". Okay, I may be exaggerating but it was a long wait...

Not related but still exciting news is that my company has today officially signed Lady Gaga for her debut fragrance ! It won't be out until at least a year from now, but can you imagine how out of this world it will be?! oh so GAGA!

I'm also really excited about the new Chloe fragrance "Love, Chloe"  launching next week. It's already out on counters in selected stores that carry the Chloe house fragrances, so come in and have a sniff .. It's a stunning high quality bottle. Made of the finest glass with latest technology for an almost invisible atomiser. Features a fine rose gold chain that connects the cap to the bottle and carries a sophisticated powdery floral scent ... I'm in LOVE !

Bags Bags Bags

Just placed an order in at the Longchamp store in QVB for the Planetes Tote in Black $199.00AUS for the large size with long handles. Can't wait until it comes in .. about 1-2 weeks !

I've always wanted a Le Pliage, but couldn't really decide what colour to get .. Purple, Navy, Black, Ivory ... so many colours ! Too many ! Been trying to decide for the past 6 months or more now but I have finally set my heart on black. Conventional and practical... But the Planetes is definitely a little less common since its a different material, slightly thicker and also features black leather handles and flap, rather than the typical tan/brown.

It's definitely a phonecall I don't want to miss !

Also, still waiting on the House of Harlow necklace.

The Forgotten & Bizarre Dreams

I was woken up by a strange dream today. I can't really remember what it was about but I woke up crying and feeling really upset. What on earth?! I must be losing it.

Lately, I have been having the strangest dreams. The other night I dreamt that I was being forced into an arranged marriage by my parents and grandparents to a man I have never met. A grandchild to my grandfather's friend/acquantaince or something like that. No recent encounters really connect to this. Bizarre.

It may be that I am lacking sleep and my brain has gone whoopdidoo whilst I tried to get some good ol'rest. I hope I can get some sleep tonight since I have to wake up at 5.30am to get ready for a work meeting in the city and I don't even have work tomorrow. I have to look immaculate as well. They better feed me food since I might not have time for a proper breakfast and meetings usually go for 2-3hrs. Also, I'll need to figure out what to do afterwards. I don't want to walk home from the bus stop. I'm lazy, I know. Shopping perhaps?

And I am absolutely loving this song <3

SK-II Facial Treatment Mask Review

This is by far one of my favourite facial masks! Definitely a high-end product retailing at AU$28.00 per piece but I purchased mine off SASA at US$7.20 each. They also come in bulk packs of 6 and 10. But for some reason on SASA it is cheaper to purchase them individually. Strange. Perhaps the manufacturing date differs.

To use: Position the mask over the eyes first and then to the rest of the face and pat firm. Lay back and relax for 20mins. Remove the mask and gently pat the remaining essence onto your face and neck. I like to keep the remaining essense in the pack and use it as a treat for my skin for the following nights. No product wastage :) Just make sure you keep the pack sealed tight or transfer into a sterile container.  

The mask feels great on and upon removal my skin felt and looked instantly brighter. My skin appeared clearer and felt softer and more toned. The essence from the mask was not heavy at all and absorbed quickly into my skin. The only downside is it does smell a bit strange in the beginning but nothing that can't be easily accustomed to. And it terms of fit, great.

The next day my skin felt softer, smoother and more radiant. Applying makeup was also an easier and a quicker task. It really helped in balancing my combination/oily skin and my blemishes are clearing up a little and are less visible.

I will definitely be stocking up on my next SASA haul. In fact, I've ordered some just now :) I just wished that I ordered more so I am not left waiting for it to arrive again.

Fish Markets !

Had an awesome day out yesterday with the mates. An appetising trip to be exact. What was suppose to be an 11am meetup ended up being 12pm due hesitating boys because "it's raining". It was raining on the way there but when we got there it stopped. Everybody is happy. I started off with a seafood platter for one (it's always for one) and then a half dozen of oysters. I would have went for the full dozen if my stomache was up for it. Damn, I wish I had. They were so gooood!

After a great feast we then headed to Parramatta for some MB (Max Brenner's). It was so devine. I had a Chocorgasm! Been craving it for so long. My favourite, Tutti Frutti for One (again, for one). 

On another note, for once I don't look drunk or drunk sleazy in club photos !! 

And I can't tell whether the guy is Danny or Danny. Coincidentally, they both have the same name. One is a friend and the other is a neighbour. I don't think he knows or remembers me, but I remember him from primary school. And I'm not a stalker ! He was school captain or something like that. And if that's my neighbour, he just crashed the photo without knowing I'm his neighbour we do live like 8 houses apart, I think. Awkward. To make things even harder, they were both wearing a similar coloured shirt. I can't tell. But I'm thinking its my neighbour based on bicep size lol. Hi neighbour !
